Dining & Drinking

In Punta del Este the gastronomy occupies a place almost as important as its beaches. Due to Italian and Spanish ancestry, you will find mostly a mediterranean diet, with plenty of seafood and fish, paired with roasted vegetables and greens.

Uruguay is also famous for having some of the best, and meat found anywhere. In Uruguay, asado or “barbeque” is a national tradition, where these high-quality meats are cooked on an open pit wood grill, or “parilla.” Below are a few of many delicious options we recommend.
